Review of the lollipop baby camera! 🍭

I was kindly gifted this camera in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own!

So my baby camera started to break about a month ago and I was looking for a camera that didn’t require to be turned on constantly and carrying around a monitor whenever I went. The sound of static would stop me sleeping and the out of range was useless. So when lollipop contacted me I was excited to try something new. I immediately jumped at the chance and I’m so glad I did.

The turn around time is so quick It arrived the next day and was a beautiful camera. You can even order it with prime! It was really well presented and easily shows how to connect and fit it. I choose the colour blue as we’re planning on decorating Elijahs new bedroom in the new house and wanted something that wouldn’t stand out too much! The camera can wrap around bits and bobs or be hung against the wall with a stand they supply which is fantastic! The Camera is really flexible and you can move it around. It also comes with wire hiders so you can attach to wall or hide against a wall without damage and need for nails for the wires!

Setting up was a bit confusing but once I worked it out it was fantastic. The camera works through a app on phone and sends notifications if your child moves across a area, Cries or even makes any noise. You can also have camera set as background audio so hear constantly or just have notifications and open when you hear them. I sleep and wake up when I hear a notification. I thought I wouldn’t but I hear it when it’s on loud. It’s fantastic if your walking round house or hanging washing out too. I can now have a bath without worrying about a monitor breaking or not hearing.

The sound quality is fantastic. The photo quality is amazing. The day and night mode both pick everything up and you can also set up recording of your little ones moments. You can also talk thorough the camera which is interesting and the best bit is you can play music or white noise so that your child sleeps. Elijah already has a white noise machine but sometimes I play the hoover sound and he notices no different.

You can change a lot of settings for your child. You can change how sensitive you want it and loud you want it. As the photos below show the clarity and the notifications so you know what’s going on when you watch it. Elijah is rugby tackling James when he went to read his bed time story and get ready for bed which I found hilarious I got a notification about the noise. The second he was talking to James after refusing to sleep 😂

Overall it may be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for I’ll use for a few more years and if I was to have another child I’d buy this again! I wish I had it when he was a newborn!

Chewy moon review.

Elijah is a mega snack lover and we find it so hard to find new things for him to try when chewy moon offered some samples we leaped at the chance. We where sent a large selection (you can see each name on the photo with the product names on) to try and see if Elijah liked them. These are quite similar to a few high street brands but i think the quality is so much more than normal snack companys ive tried from local supermarket trips. The chewy moon packaging looks fantastic. I love all the Animal prints that remind me a bit of the design of a totem poll. If these where prints they’d be something i would seriously think of having in my sons bedroom as a theme. I like all the colour usage and there isnt a specific wrapping for a product so its like a lucky dip.

The products are healthy and packed full of good stuff the sugars are more natural then tons of produced foods. This means your child gets lots of minerals and nutrients while snacking. As a mum i always worry about whether Elijah is getting enough healthy food into his diet. I think i always will which is why i like that with these products there is a nutritional leaflet too! You can see whats inside and decide what to give your child.

There where a few dry fruit packets which Elijah loves. Anything remotely healthy for Elijah is a win for me. Luckily he has always liked healthy snacks as much as naughty ones. So far his favourite is the strawberry hearts he enjoyed taking his time to eat them too and the fact they looked like a tiny strawberry in the shape of a heart, The small size meant he didn’t need to scoff his face. He also really enjoyed the honey biscuits too and even i partake in a little snack they where quite sweet and tasty .

The size portions are enough for your child and perfect for on the go it means you can pack in your bag without taking up to much room and pack more that one and offer choice. We still have a few to try but so far we have tried almost all of them and Elijah has liked each and every single one.

Chalkola review

We love learning through play and have seen all over Instagram the lovely Chalkola blackboards and and chalk pens filling Instagram with their beauty. But are they worth all the hype? In short, YES!

Now I love chalk boards we already had three in the house, my meal planner, Elijahs chalkboard in his room and we had a large one for learning which we since gave to his nanny and grandad to use at their house. So when chalkola offered me the chalk board I couldn’t say no. Our learning chalk board was too big so I was so glad to give it to the grandparents as this chalkboard was the same size but doesn’t have massive legs and collapses. Which is a plus. It stands up with three legs or can be layed out flat. The quality is lovely and I also love that there’s a space to leave your own pen infront.

The chalk. There’s so many colours to choose from and we have loved playing with them all. I’ve been able to teach Elijah the shades of colours so saying dark green or light green and he can now differentiate between dark and light. The pens are fantastic quality and glide on the board so quickly without pressure.

They rub of with a wet damp cloth and then I dry with a dry cloth after to keep it looking new. Easy to remove your masterpieces! The products also just wash of table if your toddler scribbles on it and also easily comes of your hands.

What do I use the chalk for? Writing on my meal planner, drawing in Elijahs room and having fun. We also use it for learning. Instead of wasting lots of paper we simply wipe out when we’re done. I try to teach Elijah a subject at a time or a few things at once. I’ve been teaching Elijah to trace letters and he can identify colours, some words, read the alphabet and numbers so we use the chalk board to work on these skills and adapt more. Elijah loves drawing and copying what I do. His masterpieces he draws may end up a squiggle a lot of the time but we love them none the less!

Chalkola products are a fantastic resource for learning and also exploring colours. It’s perfect for the artist and the organised individual too. It’s a little something for everyone and we love our chalk board. We can’t wait to use it to celebrate birthdays and thing such as Henry coming home!

Why you should be trying to use soaps more.

I love using all sorts of products but I am up for trying anything new. I’ve been trying to use more soaps instead of shower gels. I have to say I’ve not always been a fan of soaps I’ve found they’re really drying but I’ve noticed since trying small business homemade products I haven’t had any irritation. I try not to use if I have a flare just incase but they have really been quite nice.

Obviously shower gels contain a lot of plastic and drying products that can irritate our skin. Also the wastage is not fab for the planet so I’ve been trying to use soap more to not only improve my skincare but also my carbon footprint.

I was kindly gifted some products from Ètre toi. These soaps have been really great for all the family to use. We where sent a zesty orange one and a grapefruit and Himalayan salt one.

Elijah likes sniffing the orange one and washing his hands with it and has had no irritation. The thing I like about these is they really foam up and go a long way. I love the freshness of the orange one which I can’t stop sniffing as it smells just like a freshly peeled orange.

The Himalayan salts in the grapefruit soap work well with the smell to give a slight exfoliation at the same time. Himalayan salts have many beauty and health benefits and are something I love to use in my baths so I’ve been using this in the bath alongside the salts I have.

Into the green candle review. As seen in vogue magazine!

It’s always exciting working with a new company and as you are very aware by now I am the candle connoisseur. I’m addicted to candles and there is something about lighting a candle at the end of the day that screams I’m done and ready to relax. I also have a strong belief that you’re not done cleaning till you’ve lit a wax melt at the end of it and all the smells in the room just wait through the house and make you feel cosy and clean again.

I was very fortunate to be offered some candles in exchange for this review. So they where kindly gifted. They have recently been featured in vogue magazine and that made me all the more excited. I used to always buy things I saw in magazines as of course they have teams that research these products meticulously. So to be highlighted in such a big magazine screams brilliant product.

First of all the items are beautiful. The packaging and the product style is simple and chic. They’re small so no massive candles floating around and can easily store away if you don’t like them on show you can out away with the screw lid.

Breathe and Be is my fav. It smells like mint which I love when I’m feeling unwell and stressed out as it’s a clearing revitalising smell. It smells so fresh and clear and you can feel your lungs opening when you sniff it. The wax burns really well and you can smell after around a minuite really strong. It is so fresh and feels like it’s opening you up as you breathe in! This is the newest candle and I adore it!

I was also sent kissed by the moon which is another fantastic smell. I think it smells like a relaxing night time candle. It smells calming and makes me feel at ease. My anxiety feels like it’s a bit more calm when I’m relaxed so hats of to this candle! It smells almost floraly but earthy at the same time.

The perfect Father’s Day gift

The people over at hooray heroes kindly gifted me a book for Father’s Day to show my followers and readers what I think about it. I’ve been eyeing up their books after seeing many ads so I was very excited to be gifted one!

So first of all you choose the book you want. Then you design your characters. This is the fun part! You can choose hair style, colour, freckles, skin tone, eye colour and more! You can put your names in as well so it makes it super personal to you. It’s really nice knowing that something your helping to create will be in a book. Especially if you have a hard to find name in a gift store this is the perfect personalised gift for you.

I love that you can also choose what stories go inside you can preview and select up to ten mini stories to go in the book too.

Once you’ve ordered it only takes a few days to come I think I waited five days and I was alerted when each step of the creation process was completed and a time my parcel would be delivered.

When it arrived it was in a nice cellophane wrapping to preven damage. The book is hardback and the quality is amazing. Each page is full of colour and keeps your child’s attention. This was a gift to the whole family really which was nice because we all get to share it.

It’s something that will last for years and we love all the stories, you can read as little or as much as you like!

Candle review! With Am botanical

Gifted product- This candle was kindly sent from the lovely people over at am botanical. The candle is really really pretty! I think it’s the most beautifully presented packages I have ever opened too. The package had a beautiful note, lots of lovely tissue paper and a beautiful bag to hold it. This makes it the perfect gift because it makes the candle look classy and like you’ve gone to a lot of effort to order it!

The smell is really fresh! I was sent the joyful odorata. It smells similar to a few candles such as jo malone ones. It’s the prefect fresh scent for calming you and bringing your mood up. It has lavander in also which is so good for calming and mood boosting. It is packed full of essential oils and is plant based. It is vegan and cruelty free so perfect for anyone to use! They are also ethically conscious so you know your product is made with the planet in mind.

The candle itself looks so elegant in any room in the house I love the simplicity of the design. The burning is really strong and smells nice everywhere in the house. It burns really well and lasts a long time. With Father’s Day coming this would make the perfect gift as the scent is not to feminine either!

Review of caleo wax melts!

(Gifted) I was very kindly sent some wax melts to review because as you know I am clearly the candle connoisseur. I think it’s clearly something I need to put on my CV. I absolutely adore candles my house is filled with them and I dare you to come into my house and find a empty table or work space without some sort of candle related item.

I also love wax melts. Why you may ask? Well storage! although candles look cute they take up so much room. I’d rather fill my little box up with goodies then have nowhere to eat my dinner because my obsessions taken over. Also any of my friends reading this. Please stop telling me when candles or melts are on deal as we all know I’m soooo going to panic buy.

So first up we’ve got the presentation. Yes the product is the most important thing but I think the way you present your products is important too. If something is sent looking like a gift I 100 percent love it more. The box was very lovingly wrapped up in tissue paper with stickers. I also got a hand written note and sweet too. Instead of a buisnesses card it was lovely sticker which explained how to burn them to get the best out of the product.

Fun fact I have only once ever had a perfume scented wax melt from another company!Wild right! Because that scent wasn’t the strongest it kind of put me of perfume scents for a while so I was sceptical about how the products would smell and if they would keep there scent! But from just opening this box I new from the smells it was going to be good!

The wax melts come in either an adorable heart shape or in a block with squares. The squares are beautifully coloured and have lots of glitter inside to make it feel that bit more special. Inside the packets we have the little wax melts which come with the most pretty little hearts which have little tangs of different colours in. I love these because they are so space saving and I don’t have to worry about storage!

So let’s dive into each melt as I review them!

So first up we have pomegranate black. This smells quite like a fruity plum mix almost like a fizzy drink with the smell of some sort of wood mix. It smells really, really good and like a fragrance i would like to wear.

Next is lenor golden orchid obviously made to replicate the scent of lenor products. It smells very sweet and like vanilla it’s a nice soft a delicate smell!

Next we have purple rain. And yes I sign it like Prince every time I read it. Now it’s in your head and I’m not even sorry! This smells like the cocktail. The similarity is uncanny and it’s making me miss sitting in a pub garden with my friends a little tipsy of our cocktails at spoons.

Bon bons is up next. This scent is quite obviously based on the perfume bonbon. It smells quite uncanny and I love the scent. It’s made me want to go out and buy the perfume to wear it! This is a fruity sweet scent.

Next we have daisy again inspired by the daisy perfume. This is a soft flowery smell and smelly much like the perfume! look at how beautifully presented this is with all the glitter and the packaging!

La vie is last with obviously being somewhat a dupe of the Lancôme la vie. It has a vanilla, fruit and floral concoction to it which smells Devine!Very similar to the perfume if not stronger!! I love the glitter and little ribbon sequins inside!

The burn time is long and the scent fills my whole house. I will defiantly be buying again! a very firm favourite in this house now even my husband and son are interested and my 2 year old says it smells nice!

All of these stunning wax melts are very affordable. They won’t break the bank so you can get lots. The bars are around £2.30 and the heart melts around 2.99! Absolute bargain considering the quality of the products! You can also buy a single sample for only 50p which is great if you like me are fussy about your smell choice! Osmo product review!

A few weeks ago I was sitting there thinking about how I can I use Elijahs tablet to enable him to learn while having fun. That’s when we where contacted by the people at osmo! We were very fortunate to be gifted a fantastic set from the lovely Osmo in exchange for a review. And what a treat it has been too recieve such amazing items.

First of all the packaging and design of their items is so sleek and also interesting for children at the same time. Elijah could somewhat tell what was inside and was thrilled to open it up! Inside the box sent to us was the stand to be able to use the osmo app, a Mickey Mouse super studio and our favourite the play mat with squiggle magic bits!

It was super easy to download all you do is follow the instructions and your ready to play. Elijah was very excited by something new and was to eager to help set up!

Elijah enjoyed playing with squiggle magic the most. This app teaches children to design with the use of the kit where it is reflected onto the screen where it picks up their designs and brings it to life. He enjoyed matching up the pieces (with a little bit of help) to the design on the pad. We also went rogue and he made his own designs to. He enjoyed the colours and loved listing them and talking about what was happening on the screen to. We also made numbers and letters with the squiggle pieces which is fantastic for learning! He may still be a little young to enjoy the full content of the games but he did absolutely love getting involved and just needed some help from mum. We also love how space saving it is and easy to clean away. It is so handy that the squiggle bits come in a nice little box for storage!

The next product we had to test was the Mickey Mouse super studio. This was a note pad which connects to the device again which gives you activity’s to do. You draw and it appears on the screen like magic. We worked together to complete some of the activities which he enjoyed. He is a little young for this one but he did enjoy all the characters as he’s obsessed with Mickey Mouse clubhouse now! we will be using this when he’s older a lot more and we love that it comes with its own branded items such as pen and wipe and it’s super easy to clean!

Overall we love this product and it’s something we keep getting out and playing. We will explore more and more the older he gets and it’s the perfect toy to grow up and learn with. We also have lots of friends and family with children of all ages which I know will love coming round to play with it! Thankyou osmo we love it!

Poooli print – product review

Good morning everyone and i hope you are having a lovely weekend so far! This week i have had a package from the lovely people at poooli print. They very kindly gifted me this printer for a review and lots of refills to use. Anyone who knows me knows that i love taking photos and also keeping them. So when they offered to gift me a product i leaped at the chance. So here is my HONEST review on the product and the paper with it.

First of all the look of the product is super cute. It looks a big like a bird with a magnetic beak you can keep on if you want it on. The light on the device looks like a wing and shows you that the product is on. The on button looks like a happy eye which is how you turn it on, off and connect to your phone. The box is super simple to open and the instructions inside are super easy to follow i was connected and printing within a minute. Charging the device is really quick too so it doesn’t mean waiting around all day for you to print that quick shot. The battery life is fantastic also i have printed 30 photos and the battery still isn’t low yet. The paper rolls are very pretty and you can choose sticky back or any pattern you like i went for normal as i’m using them for craft and to put on a peg line at some point for home decor. It’s super easy to change them and i still haven’t gone through a full roll. The device does come with a free one! The papers good quality and doesn’t rip easily or transfer ink.

Connecting to your phone is really easy you download the app, follow the instructions and your ready to print. You can print WHATEVER you want, make a mini list, photos from your phone or even type something down and you can print it. It also gives you an option to edit the photos too and add filters extra.

I like that i am able to simply press print on any photo on my camera roll and its printed in seconds. The photo quality is high and you can see the details in the photo. The only quarrel i may have is that the photos aren’t in colour, they are in black and white. But once the first photo came out i was in love with the quality and liked that it made the photos feel aged and different from anything else i could create. I enjoyed the fact that after printing you can rip a single photo or instead a long line of photos by continuously printing like in a photo booth!

I really love this photo printer and i’m going to print some photos out to send to other family members in lock down who may be missing our faces and the memories we’ve made. I made a collage of family photos for Elijah to be able to identify his family members which he absolutely loved and i’m even going to use this for lots of craft sessions and of course journaling.
